We will visit Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens and Parsonage House; The Towers building, designed by Thomas Worthington and built for the founder of the Manchester Guardian; The Cedars, designed by Edward Walters for woollen manufacturer C. P. Henderson. Along the way, discover a number of surprising and little-known facts about Didsbury’s buildings and architecture, including architectural features and building fragments that originally stood elsewhere in Manchester. Led by Aaron Bazler, a part-time heritage consultant and long-term resident of Didsbury and member of the Manchester Group committee.
