The Totally Improvised Musical returns to the New Adelphi! Every night is opening night as these top improvisers compose brand-new comedy musicals from your title suggestions. That’s right; the story, songs, characters and “choreography” are all made up on the spot with live music and lots of laughter. Nominated Best Variety Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2024, don’t miss the opening – and closing – night of your very own musical! Previous musical titles have included The Book of More Men, Vampires In Hull, The First Primark In Space, Miserable Les, The King and AI, Help! Due to the improvised nature of the show, there is the possibility scenes may include some emotional triggers. ADMISSION: Pay What You Can. Pay What You Can is an ‘honesty box’ for the theatre. We and the artists will continue to programme and produce high quality events and ask you to pay what you can afford. As a guide, for those in full time employment we would appreciate you paying £7-£10. We also understand people's income can be precarious, hence the lower price options. All revenue from ticket sales for events at New Adelphi Theatre will always go back to support professional artists, through residencies, commissions, touring work or for more bespoke projects where the student experience is enhanced through co-creation with arts professionals.
