About This Event

On December 18th at the Lions Den in Manchester, Urban Hymns brought to life the musical experience and energy of Richard Ashcroft and The Verve, celebrating their enduring legacy through passionate renditions that captured the spirit of their songs.

Urban Hymns is the ultimate tribute to Richard Ashcroft and The Verve, celebrating one of Britain’s most iconic songbooks with passion, authenticity, and style. Recreating the soaring melodies, psychedelic textures, and anthemic energy that defined a generation, the band takes audiences on a journey through classics such as Bitter Sweet Symphony , The Drugs Don’t Work , History , On Your Own , and A Song for the Lovers . More than just a tribute, Urban Hymns delivers a nostalgic return to the golden age of Britpop and indie rock, capturing the spirit, sound, and emotion of Richard Ashcroft at his very best.
