The Catchment Sensitive Farming Arable Hub will explore sustainable farming practices and the Sustainable Farming Incentive 26 (SFI). This event will be held on 20 November 2026 at Lady Margaret Hall in Worksop, and attendance is free.
Join CSF, STW, Agronomist Andrew Wells and The Welbeck Estate for a look at Sustainable Farming Incentive 26 (SFI) and agronomy.
Back by popular demand, with a new host farm, The Welbeck Estate.
In this ever-changing world of farming, keeping up with changes and details of the various schemes that are available from DEFRA is difficult. Join CSF and Andrew Wells as he demystifies the 2026 Sustainable Farming Incentive.
After an informative morning of talks, the afternoon session will be a tractor and trailer tour of the Welbeck Estate encompassing field scale early establishment cover crop trials, maize field management and manure incorporation trials. Alex Miles (Welbecks Farm manager) will be on hand to explain how the Estate uses SFI in its farming enterprise.
At Novembers event we will be joined by a guest speaker from the MET Office who will discuss the impacts of climate change and the changing weather patterns on agriculture.
We will be joined by representatives from Severn Trent Water to discuss their STEPS scheme and The Forestry Comission.
We look forward to seeing you.
