Recycling Workshop and Tour of the Materials Recovery Facility

Join us at the Materials Recovery Facility in Mansfield for a recycling workshop where you’ll learn more about waste in Nottinghamshire, including actions we can all do to reduce the amount of waste we produce; knowledge of what can and can't be recycled at home; and what happens to the waste that we can't recycle.

The workshop also includes a tour of our Materials Recovery Facility*, where you can see with your own eyes how we sort all of Nottinghamshire's recycling waste to get it ready to be recycled.

Workshops are only available for Nottinghamshire residents and must be booked at least 48 hours before the visit date.

Any children visiting must be aged 7+ and accompanied by an adult at all times.

All visitors must be able to walk unassisted up steps to access the facility.

*all tours of the facility must be approved by the facility manager and can be cancelled if deemed unsafe.
