Preparing for Sherwood Forest Day 2027... Come along to our free tree giveaway drop-in at the Sherwood Forest Trust Community Tree Nursery.

Come along to our free tree giveaway at the Sherwood Forest Trust Community Tree Nursery.

You can collect free saplings and establishment materials as part of the ‘Care for your patch of Sherwood (https://sherwoodforest.org.uk/projects/care-for-your-patch-of-sherwood/)’ campaign and learn about the work we are doing to grow native, Sherwood broadleaf trees from seed.

Whether you’re part of a community group, a local parish, a school, or have a patch of land in need of some life, this is a great chance to meet fellow enthusiasts and learn how your efforts help reconnect Nottinghamshire communities with our forest’s ancient landscape.

We can give you advice about the best trees to plant for your location, focusing on ‘the right tree, right place’ along with information about the ongoing maintenance of your trees to help them thrive.

This is a drop in session, so please stop by when you can between 10am - 12pm.
