About This Event

Cliftonville Community Kitchen + Surplus Grocery Stall will occur on 27 September 2026 at 101 Social in Margate. The event offers healthy, freshly-cooked food made from local surplus ingredients, along with surplus groceries available by donation. Attendees can pay what they want.

Healthy, freshly-cooked food from local surplus ingredients + surplus groceries by donation. Every Sunday, just outside 101! Heartwarming soups, curries and stews served with rice, hearty pasta bakes, pakoras, couscous or grilled polenta with a side of salad, tzatziki, roast veggies and more. And of course, bread, cake, tea, coffee, fresh smoothies, and dessert! Also, help yourself with free surplus groceries donated by local supermarkets that will nourish your body and soul! All veg with vegan and gluten-free options. Eat in or to go, by donation. For last Sunday’s meal, we’d like to thank Margate Food Centre, Northdown Road Family Hub , plus ALDI, LIDL, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose via the MICommunity shops. #cliftonvillecommunitykitchen #zerowaste #circulareconomy #gifteconomy
