About This Event

The Bid Writing Training event on September 30, 2026, from 1:00 PM at Grangetown Generations in Middlesbrough will offer valuable guidance for voluntary groups and individuals seeking to improve their bid writing skills. As part of an initiative aimed at supporting organizations in Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough, this free event is designed to empower participants with the knowledge needed to secure vital funding for their projects or activities.

Voluntary groups are welcome to book onto any workshop in Redcar & Cleveland or Middlesbrough (overleaf). Sessions are currently free.

Please note that a £25 cancellation fee will apply if you do not attend and have not cancelled your place at least 72 hours (3 working days) in advance of the session.

Creating clear and compelling funding applications is essential for attracting investment into your organisation’s projects. This practical session explores how to plan effectively, understand what funders are looking for, and write confident, well‑structured bids that stand out.
