Gasto Promotions Presents: The Black Heart Orchestra are not actually an orchestra, they’re a duo! The ‘orchestra’ concept is that they are two multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between them. Including guitar, bass, Omnichord, piano, organ and a collection of vintage synths in what is quite a uniqueshow. They play within a circle of instruments which has been referred to as their ‘musical space station’ and draw on their background in rock, electronica and classical music to create a sound frequently compared to artists from Pink Floyd and Mike Oldfield to Kate Bush and The Cocteau Twins as well as modern composers like Steve Reich and Philip Glass.
