Taking cues from the golden era of Creation Records, but without relying on the comfort of nostalgia, Midding’s music then is hazy, hook-laden, shimmery and distorted, all together at once. Midding sit in the shadowy space between post‑punk unease, shoegaze haze, and art‑rock precision — a band who build songs like weather fronts. Their sound moves from quiet, brittle minimalism to towering walls of distortion, always with a sense of emotional weight and slow‑creeping drama. Support from Screaming Skys Formed in Hitchin, Screaming Skys is a 4 piece grunge gaze band who have been playing in various rock bands since the mid 90s. Emerging from the haze of memory and emotion, Screaming Skys fuses the raw urgency of 90s alt-rock with the dreamy textures of shoegaze, creating a sound that feels both nostalgic and timeless. Their music drifts between introspective melancholy and cathartic release, pulling listeners into a world where teenage angst meets adult reflection, where ghostly melodies linger over crashing guitars and reverb-soaked atmospheres.
