A celebration of bass is being held on Friday 20th November, with a stacked line up, ft Zed Bias AKA Maddslinky, Matt Jam Lamont (Tuff Jam), Sean Harvey and Covie! ZED BIAS: Dave Jones, AKA Zed Bias, Maddslinky, Phuturistix…. a producer and DJ from deep within the UK dance music scene. He scored his first top 30 track with ‘Neighbourhood’ before setting the blueprint for the darker UK Garage sound at the end of the 90s. He was asked to mix the definitive “Sound of the Pirates” compilation and at this time began to infuse a jazzier influence into his tracks. From the start of his career, continuously until present day, Zed Bias has been engaged in remixing duties for a huge number of well known artists, from Missy Elliot and Mary J Blige to The Streets. MATT JAM LAMONT: As one of the stalwarts of UK Garage, a champion of the genre in its infancy and now one of its most beloved forefathers, Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont’s tireless involvement in the scene has been integral to the success of the movement as a whole. Following a residency at South London’s The Arches, Lamont’s career really skyrocketed back in 1993 where a chance meeting between him and fellow DJ Karl ‘Tuff Enuff’ Brown gave birth to the now legendary production and remix team Tuff Jam. Leaving in their wake a massive back catalogue of defining records, both Tuff Jam and Matt ‘Jam’ himself have appropriately attained the status of figureheads of the UK garage scene. SEAN HARVEY: Sean Harvey is a respected UK Garage DJ firmly established within the mainstream garage scene. Hailing from Bedford, Sean’s journey began in 1999 on the legendary pirate radio station Risk FM. Over the past decade, Sean has cemented his position as a standout name for garage lovers, sharing stages with heavyweights including Artful Dodger, DJ Luck & MC Neat, MC Kie & Wideboys, and many more. COVIE: No stranger to Bedford Sam Covington (Covie) the home ground talent opens up the bill. Covie has worked with artists including Annie Mac, Edris Elba and Pete Tong, Mark Knight and Roger Sanchez performing in some of the world’s most famous clubs including Pacha, Ministry Of Sound, Ocean Beach, Egg Club and the Ibiza Tour in the UK.
