About This Event

On 10 November 2026, *Iggy Across the Seas of Time* will transport audiences to a prehistoric era within the halls of Milton Keynes Museum. This dramatic theatre experience explores how the fossil of Iggy the Ichthyosaur might have been understood by humanity in a different historical context. The performance invites spectators on a profound journey through time, blending scientific discovery with imaginative storytelling. Entry is complimentary for all attendees.

Join us on Saturday 7th November for a journey into the ancient past...

How might the fossil of Iggy the Ichthyosaur have been interpreted if it had been discovered in another time?

Throughout human history, people have uncovered bones of ancient creatures and tried to make sense of them through myths and legends. Taking place in the ancient gallery of Milton Keynes Museum, this storytelling performance presents three mythic tales from ancient traditions that imagine different lives for Iggy.

Join us afterwards to learn more about ancient interpretations of fossils and creativity in museums, and to draw or write your own version of Iggy's story.

Pre-booking is essential to ensure free access to the venue.

Hosted by Theatre of the Gentle Furies (https://gentlefuries.com), The Open University (https://www.open.ac.uk/), and Milton Keynes Museum (https://miltonkeynesmuseum.org.uk/).
