With Amelia Wylam, a workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches, at the Hobbycraft in Aylesbury on 8 November at 11:00am.

Suitable for those who have never picked up a needle but want to have a go or those who have just started to stitch. A workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches whilst embroidering a simple stylish pattern.

A choice of four patterns will be provided. The workshop will provide confidence to continue to explore after the workshop has ended.

To note:

This event is for those aged 16 and over.

Cancellation and refunds given up to 7 days before the event takes place. No refunds will be given for cancellations under 7 days.

Capacity for this workshop is 5 people.

Required Materials

You will be able to take away fabric, threads and a needle to carry on stitching at home.

Equipment used in the workshop such as hoops, maker pens and scissors will be available to purchase afterwards in store.

You may find it useful to bring a pen and paper to make notes.

Your Tutor

Amelia’s initial interest was inspired as a child completing small sewing projects with her family. She has a degree in Textile Design from Nottingham Trent University where she specialised in embroidery, gaining a wide range of knowledge in machine and hand embroidery machinery and fabric manipulation. Sustainability, wellbeing and community focus are important aspects of Amelia’s practice.
