BJAI is going to celebrate Chhath Puja 5th time in Ireland with participation and support from members, friends and families.

Bihar Jharkhand Association of Ireland (BJAI) warmly invites everyone to celebrate Chhath Puja for the 5th time in Ireland, with the support and participation of our community, families and friends.

Chhath Puja is one of the most cherished festivals of Bihar and Jharkhand, dedicated to Surya Dev and Chhathi Maiya. It is a beautiful celebration of faith, gratitude, family and our deep connection with nature.

For those of us living away from Bihar and Jharkhand, Chhath is also about staying connected to our roots and passing the same love, emotion and traditions to our next generation.

🙏 Organised by BJAI family members – Open to Everyone

This celebration is organised by the BJAI community for the wider multicultural community of Ireland, including our Irish friends and families. Everyone is warmly welcome to join, experience Chhath and celebrate with us.

We especially encourage every family from Bihar and Jharkhand to get involved in organising the Puja — through decoration and Ghat preparation, food and Prasad, cultural activities or volunteering.

Most importantly, please encourage your children to actively participate. By involving them today, we can help them understand what Chhath means to us and carry the same love, emotion and tradition forward to the next generation.

🌍 Celebrating Nature & Community

Chhath Puja has a unique connection with the Sun, water, nature and our Earth. Through this celebration, BJAI aims to promote sustainability, respect for our environment and community integration, while bringing people from different cultures together.

Free Event – Supported by BJAI Community

This year there is no ticket fee – Chhath Puja is completely free for everyone.

We will therefore rely on community support and voluntary donations to help organise the celebration. Please feel free to donate or contribute towards anything you wish — Prasad, food, decoration, cultural activities, Ghat preparation or any other part of the Puja.
