Join us at Golden Falls Waterskiing for a unique Active Girl experience combining a waterskiing taster and growth mindset workshop.

Wicklow Sports and Recreation Partnership, the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation and Golden Falls Water Skiing Club are delighted to host a unique Active Girl Guide experience combining waterskiing and a growth mindset workshop.

Whether you've never tried waterskiing before or would simply like to try it again, this is a chance to get active, have fun, challenge yourself and meet other girls in a supportive environment.

This session will start with waterskiing and will be followed by a growth mindset workshop.

Have a Go at Waterskiing

Get out on the water and have a go at waterskiing with the experienced team at Golden Falls.

The session will begin with a dockside briefing covering safety. Participants will then head out on the water in the boat, using a training bar to help beginners quickly experience the excitement of waterskiing.

No previous waterskiing experience is needed.

This event is primarily aimed at girls aged 11 to 17 who are beginners to waterskiing or those with limited previous experience. Participants should be comfortable around water and should not have a significant fear of water or falling into the water.

Mindset & Psychology

We'll also explore some of the psychology behind confidence, motivation and resilience, with an engaging session designed specifically for girls aged 11+.

This engaging session by Sophie Dooley will encourage participants to think about how we approach challenges, what can affect our confidence and how we can develop a positive and resilient mindset.

Come Along, Have a Go & Make Waves

Come along, meet other teen girls, get active, give waterskiing a go and discover how you can build confidence both on and off the water.

Date: Sunday 4th of October 2026

Venue: Golden Falls Waterskiing, Wicklow

Age: Girls aged 11+

Spaces are limited, so book early to avoid missing out.

What to Bring

The club has all the equipment required for beginners.

Participants only need to bring:

Swimwear

A towel

If you have your own wetsuit or life jacket, you are welcome to bring it.
