About This Event

Kildare Readers Festival returns from 1 to 11 October 2026 with a county-wide celebration of books, writers and ideas. The programme brings readers and writers together through conversations, film, exhibitions and family activities, with featured contributors and events spanning fiction, poetry, food writing, debut authors and children’s creativity. The official festival programme states that events are free and all are welcome. Some individual headline talks and workshops require essential advance booking, so this GetEvents listing is for the overall festival and publicly accessible programme only; visitors should check the official programme before choosing an individual session. Official organiser/source: Kildare County Library and Arts Service / Kildare County Council. This public event listing was added by GetEvents Local Event Guide to help people discover what’s happening locally.
