About This Event

This annual workshop delves into the theory and practical application of CTS-R calibration for markers. It is scheduled to be held on Friday, 8 January 2027, at the Dame Margaret Barbour Building in Newcastle. The event will commence at 1pm, and attendance is entirely free of charge. A range of expert speakers will lead the sessions, catering to the diverse needs of both those new to marker calibration and individuals with considerable experience in the field. Attendees can expect a comprehensive exploration of the subject matter, designed to enhance understanding and proficiency in CTS-R calibration techniques. This gathering offers a valuable opportunity for professionals to engage with the latest developments and best practices in this specialised area.

The event will cover a range of topics related to CTS-R calibration, including the scoring manual and guide, best practices for scoring and providing feedback, and calibration of scoring against official marks. Small group and full group discussions will also be held to address marking dilemmas.

The event is led by Matt Stalker, an Academic Tutor, Anxiety Module Lead, and Supervision Lead for the PGDip CBT programme. He is a BABCP Accredited Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer, and a Fellow of Advance HE.

The workshop is in-person and free to those involved in the programme. It is scheduled to take place on 8 January 2027 at 1pm in the Dame Margaret Barbour Building in Newcastle.
