About This Event

Gurriers and Tramhaus will share a bill at Newcastle University on Thursday 15 October 2026, a pairing that promises an evening of taut, angular guitar music. The former, a Dublin five-piece, deliver a live set built on jagged rhythms and the restless energy of vocalist Pierce O’Doherty, while Dutch quartet Tramhaus offer a more controlled, post-punk tension driven by sharp basslines and deadpan delivery. Both bands have earned reputations for performances that feel simultaneously volatile and precise, with the crowd often drawn into a shared, charged space between the stage and the floor. The venue’s hall provides a straightforward, warehouse-like setting that suits the stripped-back sound. Tickets are priced at £20.00, and doors open at 8pm.
