When the crowds disappear and the streets fall quiet, Newcastle-upon-Tyne feels different.
The city you know by day gives way to something older. Darker.
A place shaped by execution, disease, fear… and stories that haven’t entirely faded.
This is not a theatrical ghost tour.
There are no jump scares, no actors, and no gimmicks.
Instead, this is a small-group walk through some of the oldest parts of the city, stopping at locations where real events took place… and where, according to many accounts, something still remains.
Led by Rob Kirkup, the host of the How Haunted? podcast, each stop combines recorded history, local accounts, and first-hand experiences gathered over years of research.
If you’ve listened to the podcast, you may recognise some of the stories.....but hearing them is one thing. Standing where they happened is something else entirely.
