About This Event

On December 9, 2026, at Newcastle Cathedral in Newcastle, a free and registration-required singing group for Year 1 and Year 2 children was scheduled to take place. Led by professional musicians, these sessions aim to nurture young voices in an environment that combines fun with musical education. The event promises to be both enlightening and entertaining for participants and their families.

Does your child in Year 1 or Year 2 love to sing? Give them the chance to take part in fun, FREE musical sessions designed just for young voices! These weekly sessions are led by professional musicians and experienced music educators. Children will explore music through singing, learn simple music-reading skills, and begin developing healthy singing technique. Along the way, they’ll make new friends and enjoy the many benefits of singing, including improved confidence, wellbeing and creativity. To register their interest, please email music@newcastlecathedral.org.uk. Registration is required so we can share all the session details with you, including where each session will take place within the building. We look forward to welcoming your young singers and making music together!
