About This Event

On August 12th, Newcastle Cathedral is hosting a Pop-Up Hospital Family Fun Day with free admission for visitors to learn more about the work of the Great North Children’s Hospital staff in their region.

Join staff from the Great North Children’s Hospital for a special insight into their incredible work supporting children and families across our region. Enjoy a range of interactive activities and hands-on arts and crafts inspired by physiotherapy and radiology, and meet partners from Tyne & Wear Fire Service, Healthworks, Newcastle Hospitals Charity and Citizens Advice to discover how they support local communities. And keep an eye out – you might even get to meet the hospital’s friendly mascot, Fudge the Giraffe! This drop-in activity day is FREE to attend with no pre-booking required and is suitable for all ages… especially families! Please note: Great North Children’s Hospital staff will stop for their lunch break at 12:30pm. Activities will resume at 1pm.
