If you're looking to meet new people and enjoy a great night out, our lively speed dating event at Slug and Lettuce Newcastle is the perfect place to begin.

After signing up, you'll move through the room meeting a series of potential matches, spending four minutes with each, just enough time to feel a spark and decide who you'd like to explore further.

Then after the event you'll gain access to our matching and messaging system. Choose the people who caught your attention, see where the interest is mutual, and start chatting to plan that all important second date.

How it works

When you arrive at the best venue in town you'll be met by our friendly host. After a quick introduction explaining the night, you'll be straight onto your first date.

Each date will last around 4 minutes, the perfect amount of time to get to know someone and not that long to just have a chat, if not.

Girls stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move around the room.

The following day you can select your matches, 'yes' 'no' or 'friend' and by 5pm you'll find out who you've matched with and be off on a date in no time. It's really that simple.

We'll have a short break halfway through for you to top up your drinks.

After the event

Once everyone has met everyone your host will round up the event but that doesn't mean the night is over, there will be plenty of time to chat some more after the event.
