About This Event

The Heavy North performs on 28 May 2027 at Cluny 2 in Newcastle with additional information available via a check of the website.

The Heavy North is an independent, six-piece garage blues-rock outfit from Liverpool. Their sound pairs a heavy, soulful, vinyl-ready energy with contemporary indie grit—landing directly for fans of The Black Keys, Jack White, and Alabama Shakes.

Formed in late 2018, The Heavy North released their critically-acclaimed debut studio album 'Electric Soul Machine' in 2022. In recent years the band has caught the attention of BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio X, BBC Introducing, Classic Rock Magazine and Tim's Twitter Listening Party.

While the band has continued to perform live across the UK during the last 12 months, including headline shows at iconic venues such as London's 100 Club and Liverpool's Cavern Club, The Heavy North has kept fans and followers eagerly awaiting new releases.

The band has also adjusted to lineup changes over the past 18 months most notably the introduction of bass player George Favager Mysterines.

The Heavy North comprises of Kenny Stuart (vocals), Jose Ibanez (guitar), Jack Birch (guitar), George Favager (bass), Mark Rice (drums) and Ste Penn (keys).
