About This Event

For decades, this formidable band has been synonymous with unapologetically loud and unfiltered live shows, delivering a high-octane experience that has cemented their status as a must-see act for punk aficionados. Since their inception in the early 1980s, The Macc Lads have consistently provided a raw and energetic soundtrack, their performances a testament to the enduring spirit of punk rock. Fans eager to witness this iconic band in action should head over to the venue's website for all the essential information, including details on ticket pricing and availability. Prepare for a night of pure, unadulterated punk energy.
The Macc Lads formed in Macclesfield in the late 1970s and performed between 1981 and 1995. Their career was marked by notorious foul-mouthed lyrics, political incorrectness, drinking, sexism and homophobia, which led to repeated bans from venues and radio stations despite retaining a die-hard fan base.
The band is described as the musical equivalent of the Viz comic, sharing many of the same themes. They are self-proclaimed "rudest crudest lewdest drunkest band in Christendom".
