Join Ryder Architecture and Newcastle City Council for a community engagement event exploring how people travel between Newcastle city centre and the quayside.
We want to hear from people who use this route regularly, occasionally, or have never used it before. Together, we'll explore what works well, what doesn't, and what could make the journey feel safer, more welcoming, and easier to use for everyone.
Your experiences and ideas will help shape future improvements to this important city connection.
The route will begin at the Blue Carpet, outside of the Laing Gallery, and finish on the quayside outside of Newcastle Law Courts, via Manors and Pandon Bank.
What to expect
Each session includes:
A guided Walk, Wheel and Talk along the route (approximately 90 minutes)
Regular stops to discuss experiences and observations
A relaxed and creative workshop at Ryder's Cooper's Studios (approximately 90 minutes) with light refreshments
