National Trust Cymru is celebrating Calan Gaeaf across Wales this Autumn. Calan Gaeaf marks the beginning of winter in the Welsh calendar (1 November). Traditionally, the night before, Nos Galan Gaeaf (31 October) is said to be a time where the veil between our world and the Otherworld is at its thinnest - meaning mystical creatures can roam the earth. Spot the Tylwyth Teg (Welsh fairies) hiding among the trees in the Orchard Garden and see if you can catch a glimpse of them dancing high up in the branches. Ready, steady, fly! Pick up a broomstick and race around the Cedar Garden. Who will be the fastest mythical creature of them all? In the house, something mischievous and pixie like has escaped. They are running wild through Tredegar House. Follow the trail of devastation left behind by the Coedcernyw Pwca and see if you can catch them.
