Fun for all the family to enjoy / Hwyl i'r teulu cyfan ei fwynhau

The Disabled Children's Team would like to welcome disabled children and young people, along with their parents / carers and siblings to a Family Play Session this October half term.

We would like to provide families with the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, in a supported and non-judgemental environment.

There will be two sessions per day, morning and afternoon held at Llanwern High School.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Each individual attending a session will require a ticket.

Tickets are capped at 6 per family however if you do require more, please email children.withdisabilities@newport.gov.uk.

As well as free play and activities we have also invited some guests during the week to offer new opportunities which include:

KeyCreate:

Monday from 14:00 to 15:00

Wednesday from 14:00 to 15:00

KeyCreate provides inclusive, creative and educational services in South Wales. They support young people through music, storytelling, sensory exploration, movement and play.

Newport Live

Wednesday from 15:00 to 15:45

Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 and 14:00 to 15:00

Newport Live has become the first choice for sporting, leisure and cultural activities in Newport. They have a large number of fitness classes, sports, live performances and cultural activities on offer.

Celegreat Entertainment

Friday from 10:00 to 12:30

Celegreat Entertainment specialises in creating unforgettable bubble experiences where guests can immerse themselves in the magic of bubbles of all shapes and sizes.

Please note:

This is a family play session, and parents/carers are required to support and supervise their children at all times. Play staff will be available during the session for additional support.

This is a nut-free environment. For the safety of all attendees, we kindly ask that no items containing nuts are brought into the building.

During the sessions, a range of sensory play activities will be available. Some of these activities may include edible materials such as cornflakes, rice crispies, rice, flour and pasta. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us in advance so we can accommodate your needs.

We kindly ask that if you are unable to attend the event after booking, please let us know as soon as possible so we can cancel your tickets. Over the past six months, we’ve experienced a significant number of no-shows, which unfortunately prevents other families from attending due to limited spaces. Your cooperation helps ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part. Thank you for your understanding.

Casnewydd Fyw yw’r dewis cyntaf ar gyfer gweithgareddau chwaraeon, hamdden a diwylliannol yng Nghasnewydd. Mae ganddyn nhw nifer fawr o ddosbarthiadau ffitrwydd, chwaraeon, perfformiadau byw a gweithgareddau diwylliannol ar gael.
