Are you a parent / unpaid carer of a Disabled child or young person? Looking for a calm, welcoming space to take a moment for yourself?
The Disabled Children’s Team warmly invite you to a monthly session at Newport’s Central Library. Come in, relax and get comfortable with light refreshments in a calm and comfortable space. Each session will focus on wellbeing, relaxation and creativity - offering you a dedicated space where you come first.
Monday 14th September | 10:30–12:30 | Central Library
Join us for a calm, creative morning as part of Parent Carer Pause, a monthly session designed specifically for parents / unpaid carers of Disabled children and young people.
This session focuses on Painting and Repairing Pottery – ‘Kintsugi’, offering you time to explore creativity at your own pace. There’s no expectation to be “artistic” materials, inspiration, and gentle guidance will be available, and you’re free to work in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
What to expect:
• Light refreshments
• A relaxed, creative activity
• Space to chat with others or work quietly
• A supportive, low-pressure atmosphere

Friendly guidance will be available throughout, and you're encouraged to join in at your own pace, taking part in whatever way feels most comfortable for you. The focus is on energy, connection, and enjoying the music in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

No previous photography experience is needed – the emphasis is on creativity, enjoyment, and exploring what catches your eye.
Guidance and inspiration will be available throughout, and you're free to take photographs and develop ideas at a pace that feels comfortable for you. The session offers a relaxed and supportive space to express yourself while creating something meaningful to share with others.
