T&Cs – Short Strides Run Club: SSRC Fest

This is a free-to-attend community event hosted by Short Strides Run Club – there is no cost to sign up or participate.

By attending this event, even without confirming through Eventbrite, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation

Participation in this event is entirely voluntary and organised for social and recreational purposes by Short Strides Run Club. The event includes running, movement between venues, and social drinking, which can include alcohol.

2. Assumption of Risk

By joining the event, you understand and accept that running and participation in social activities carry inherent risks, including injury, illness, or unforeseen incidents. You take full responsibility for your health, wellbeing, and actions throughout the event.

3. Medical Fitness

By taking part, you affirm that you are in good physical health and capable of participating in a light social run. You agree to notify the organisers of any relevant medical conditions that may affect your participation.

4. Personal Responsibility & Venue Conduct

Short Strides Run Club, its organisers, volunteers, and attendees are not liable for any injuries, damages, or loss incurred during the event.

Any damages caused at participating venues (e.g. broken glasses, damage to property, etc.) are the full responsibility of the individual involved.

5. Alcohol & Behaviour

This is a social event involving alcohol. If you are drinking, please drink responsibly, respect each venue, and look out for one another. The club reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the event if behaviour becomes inappropriate or unsafe. The club will be the ones who determine what is deemed as inappropriate or unsafe. If you have concerns on the day, please speak with the run leaders.

6. Emergency Care

In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, you authorise event representatives to seek emergency care for you, with any associated costs being your own responsibility.

7. Media Consent

We will be capturing video and photographic content throughout the event for Short Strides Run Club’s social media channels and promotional use. By attending, you consent to being featured. If you'd prefer not to appear in any media, please let us know in advance or speak to a member of the team on the day.

8. Route Adherence

The route has been planned by the club, for the club. By attending, you agree to stick to the designated route and not to deviate from it, or encourage others to take alternative paths (e.g. shorter or quicker routes).

Should you choose to deviate, Short Strides Run Club, its organisers, or volunteers will not be held liable for any resulting injury or incident.

9. Fun is Mandatory (and so is a Sh*t Shirt)

By attending, you agree to bring good vibes, bad shirts, and your best festival energy. The theme is festival - the louder, tackier, and more questionable, the better. Bonus points for 90s patterns, neon nightmares, or anything that looks like it was rejected by a charity shop.

Laughter, friendly chaos, and high-fives are highly encouraged. This is a social run, not a race – so soak it all in (pints included).

Description supplied by the event organiser.
