Set off on an interactive quest with Stranger Folk. Download the free app, follow the story and complete challenges around Lanhydrock as you encounter characters inspired by British folklore.

Slow things down with Step into a Story, part of the National Year of Reading 2026. Find Book Nooks in the house and garden, settle down with a book or create your own folklore story with Weave a Wild Tale.

During half term, Mythwalker brings the Cornish legend of Jan Tregeagle to life with specially created storytelling performances on 25, 29, 30 and 31 October.

On Wednesday 28 October, join Imagine Outdoors Together for hands-on nature activities and some Stranger Folk-inspired fun outdoors.

There’ll also be folklore-inspired crafts in the Thatched Cottage throughout half term, including bookmark and mask making.
