A talk with Northampton-born award-winning writer Michael Davies about cosy crime and what makes it such a timeless genre.
Born and brought up in Northampton, Michael (M. R. G.) Davies initially trained as a journalist on the Chronicle & Echo but later abandoned being a newspaper editor to write fiction. Before kicking off his Cosy Crime Club series with Murder by the Book, A Game of Murder and From Murder With Love, he was an award-winning playwright and scriptwriter.
As an author, Michael completed Desmond Bagley’s thriller Domino Island for posthumous publication and has written two sequels, Outback and Thin Ice. All his novels are published by HarperCollins. His stage work has been performed at the Royal & Derngate, the RSC and across the UK, he has written Netflix chart-topping non-fiction for worldwide television, had short stories and poetry commissioned and published, and contributes regular essays for theatre programmes.
Entrance is via two shallow steps. 10 Castilian Terrace - Google Maps There is a rollout ramp for wheelchair use but they do not currently have disabled toilet facilities.
