A Grade II listed building complete with histories dating from Medieval times to the Victorian era. Delapré Abbey was founded in 1145 by Cluniac Nuns, who came over from France and lived here for nearly 400 years, up until the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Delapré is also the site of the Battle of Northampton, fought between Yorkists and Lancastrians during the Wars of the Roses in 1460. It was the home of the Tate family for a few centuries, and later home to the Bouverie family during the Victorian period.

Ghost sightings and hauntings are commonly reported here, including the apparition of the Blue Lady seen in the medieval cloister, shadow figures spotted, apparitions of knights in full armour witnessed across the abbey and grounds, blood-curdling painful screams heard towards the battlefield, and the sounds of disembodied voices and religious chanting heard from inside empty rooms. Investigate and explore this unique haunted location after dark in small group vigils, guided by their professional and friendly lead investigators. On this event, you will get to utilise a variety of ghost hunting equipment, including EMF Meters, Temperature Detectors, REM Pods, Dowsing Rods, Spirit Boxes and more. You will also get the chance to take part in different paranormal experiments like Victorian Table Tipping, the Estes Method and even the Ouija Board. But most important off all, you’ll get to use your own senses to see what you might experience inside this incredible historic building, as you attempt to find out what spirits still roam this site and hopefully communicate with the resident ghosts of Delapré Abbey.
