Why Attend?

While frontline learning and recorded feedback from our quarterly Communities of Practice are currently shared via our resource directory, that insight is not yet systematically converted into cross-partner action.

The quarterly 90-minute workshops are designed to bridge that gap. We are convening strategic leads and senior delegates across primary care, the emerging Integrated Health Organisation/NHFT, ICB, local councils, VCFSE, Active Quarter, sports, and education to establish what is realistic and co-produce a joined-up implementation programme.

What We Will Achieve Together

By participating in this 2-year strategic implementation programme, your organisation will help steer and deploy:

A Unifying Cross-Sector Communications Strategy: Align communications leads across local health, local government, and community networks to build on NSPORT's groundwork and our partnership with “Year of Happier Living”.

We will deliver consistent public messaging that reduces system duplication and proactively engages high-risk populations to promote positive mental

health.

Ready-to-Deploy, Evidence-Based Toolkits: Scale established, free evidence-based Action for Happiness digital and community assets without reinventing the wheel or incurring large development costs—(use of daily calendars, the www.10DaysofHappiness.org digital programme, Happiness Habits courses), and developing local neighbourhood Being Well Action Plans.

Workforce Culture & Internal Resilience: Embed Action for Happiness resources like our local year of happier living and Champion pathways within your culture and teams to strengthen staff mental health, retention, and day- to-day productivity.

Frontline Hyperlocal Prevention: Connect and equip grassroots anchor points—from libraries and sports clubs to local initiatives like Happy Brackley and the Moulton hub—shifting our system focus from costly crisis response to proactive, neighbourhood-level health creation.

The simple mission is “To create more happiness and less unhappiness in the world” starting with ourselves, our families and friends, our workplaces and our communities. This is achieved by:

1. A focus on the science and measurement of promoting wellbeing across the life course utilising the free scientifically based resources of Action for Happiness and the consistent use of the GREAT DREAM 10 Keys to Happier Living Framework.

2. Providing spaces in our neighbourhoods for local communities to self- organise and support each other. Starting with ourselves as organisational leaders learning from Champions and local pilots and the learning from the Quarterly Community of Practice events.
