The Half Marathon

Starting in the historic Market Square, a half-marathon loop around England’s largest town, running downhill over South Bridge and following the line of the river past Northampton’s three main sporting grounds: Sixfields stadium (football), Franklin’s Gardens (rugby) and The County Ground (cricket), through three beautiful parks, passing through the modern University campus. Then up into the historic town centre to finish back at the Market Square. All finishers receive a t-shirt and a medal.

The Half Marathon Relay

Share the Challenge. Celebrate the Finish.

Take on The Amazing Northampton Run as a team with our Half Marathon Relay. Perfect for friends, families, or colleagues looking to conquer the course together, the relay divides the 13.1 miles into three exciting legs. All finishers receive a t-shirt and a medal.

The 3 Mile Fun Run

Big Atmosphere. Shorter Distance. Same Celebration.

Looking for a fun, accessible way to be part of the race day buzz? The 3-Mile Fun Run is the perfect choice for families, casual runners, or first-timers wanting to soak up the energy without running a half-marathon. All finishers receive a medal.

Schedule

Registration

If you have chosen to have your race number posted to you, it will arrive at least one week before race day. If you have your race number, there is no need to attend registration.

Registration for Relay runner team captains only will take place on Saturday, 12th September, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at The Mercure Hotel, Northampton, NN1 2TA.

If you are unable to attend on Saturday, we will offer limited registration on Sunday, 13th September, from 7:15 AM to 8:30 AM.

On The Day

There will be a pre-race warm-up at approximately 09:15 with the team from Step Forward and Lewis/Virgin Active.

The Half-Marathon individual and relay starts at 09:30.

The 3 Mile Fun Run starts at 09:45.

Please note that the race has a cut-off time of 3 hours.

Aid Stations

There will be four aid stations positioned at approximately 3-mile intervals along the course

Pacers

The pacers, sponsored by Franklins Solicitors, are available to help you achieve your race goals.

They will support participants aiming for finish times of 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00 hours.

Mile Markers

Mile markers will be displayed throughout the course, counting up to the finish line.

Secure Bag Drop

There will be a secure bag drop area at the start/finish. We encourage participants to donate any discarded pre-race warm clothing to the Northampton Hope Centre Charity.
