Build your baby's communication skills through songs, stories, sensory play and practical tips to support language development at home.

Through sensory play, songs, stories and hands-on activities, parents and carers will explore simple ways to encourage communication and strengthen their child's language skills from an early age.

During the session we will:

Learn about how communication develops in babies and young children.

Explore the importance of play in supporting language development.

Discover the benefits of reading and singing with your child.

Discuss practical tips such as the "5 Finger Rule" for communication.

Understand the impact of dummies and screen time on early language development.

Take part in sensory activities including bubbles, scarves, playdough, sensory bottles, mark making and small world play.

This friendly and welcoming session also provides information about local services and resources available to support families, including libraries, Tiny Happy People, I CAN, Literacy Trust and Hungry Little Minds.
