About This Event

On 17 October 2026, from 10:00 AM, volunteers will convene at Magpies' Meadow in Norwich for an engaging community event focused on transforming the site into a more wildlife-friendly environment. The day's activities include the establishment of a mini-forest and the installation of enhanced wildlife habitats, designed to promote both nature conservation and mental wellbeing. Admission is free, making this initiative accessible to all interested participants.

Discover how local volunteers and community partners are transforming Magpies’ Meadow into a thriving space for nature and wellbeing. Thanks to recent funding, the site is growing fast with a new Miyawaki mini-forest, colourful wildflower areas, bird, bat and owl boxes, bug habitats and rainwater-harvesting features. Learn about the journey the group have been on to turn this site into a haven for wildlife and their plans for the future.
