A rare opportunity to tour Martyr's Cottage, a Grade II listed early C16 former farmhouse with deep ties to the English Reformation

As part of The Heritage Open Days 2026 owners, Mr and Mrs Hinks, will guide you through this beautiful property with its wealth of period features.

They will showcase the birthplace of Thomas Bilney, the first British Martyr who it is believed was born in the cottage and died for his faith in 1531 at Lollard’s Pit, Norwich.

The house, built around 1485 will be on view and refreshments will be available in the garden.
