Join Stephanie Cubbin and Claire Robertson of Level 5 Studios for a relaxed and hands-on introduction to experimental printmaking. Working in a small group around a shared studio table, this workshop offers a welcoming space to explore the traditional intaglio process using contemporary materials and a compact craft press. You’ll be guided through each stage of the process, starting by engraving a simple image or detail onto specialist printing using hand tools. You’ll then learn how to ink your plate and transfer your design onto high-quality paper, revealing the distinctive textures and marks that make printmaking so unique. Designed for beginners and those curious about trying something new, the session encourages playful exploration of line, texture, and composition. Stephanie and Claire will share their knowledge throughout, offering practical support and insight into studio-based printmaking practice. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own small, original print to take home—along with an understanding of the techniques and processes behind it.
