A free day across Easton. Yard sale, activities at venues all over the village, a street feast and an evening tombola.
Rediscover Easton is a free community fun day, run by your neighbours at the Easton Community Cupboard. It is our second village day, following the yard sale in May, and this time it runs right across Easton rather than in one place.
Easton, Norfolk, NR9. Just off the A47, five minutes from Longwater.
THE DAY
11:00 to 13:00. Yard sale, village-wide. Sellers set up on their own driveways. Pick up a map from Norfolk Food Hall, Easton Family Golf Centre, the village hall or the Easton Community Cupboard from 10:45. The walking trail is on the back of the map and is live from 11:00.
13:30 to 16:00. Fun day, across several venues.
Festival Park green, Bluebell Way. Coached sports taster sessions at 2pm and 3pm, and fifteen minutes in the stocks for the very brave.
The Rembrandt, 61 to 65 Dereham Road. Free bike safety checks from a qualified cycle mechanic, a speed and braking activity, and IAM RoadSmart with their mobile display.
St Peter's Church. Makers and creatives. Come and make something, see what others have made, and view the art competition entries.
Diocesan House car park. Balloon modelling, and a quiet space under the trees for anyone who needs a break from the noise.
The Little Allen Library, Kennedy Close. Free books, 11:00 to 16:00.
Easton Village Hall, Marlingford Road. Open 13:30 to 18:30. Music, sellers, light refreshments, somewhere to sit, and a wall where you can tell us what you think Easton needs. A dance performance closes the afternoon at around 16:15.
17:00 to 18:00. Street feast on Heron Way. Everyone is welcome, not just Easton. Bring a plate of something to share if you can, sweet or savoury, and a chair if you have one to carry. Please label what you bring, especially nuts, dairy, gluten or eggs, so everyone can choose safely.
18:30. Tombola draw and art competition prize giving at the village hall. Tombola tickets are 50p each or five for a pound, on the day only.
GOOD TO KNOW
Free water and juice at the village hall, St Peter's Church, the Rembrandt, Festival Park green and the Easton Community Cupboard.
First aiders are on site through the afternoon and evening.
The Easton Community Cupboard, 10 Heron Way, is open all day.
Everything we organise is free, with an optional donation. Private sellers, food sellers and local businesses set their own prices. Everything raised goes back into the Cupboard and the community events we run.
