🌾 ROCKLANDS HARVEST FESTIVAL 🌾A celebration of heritage, creativity, community and harvest

Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September 2026

Rocklands St Peter’s Church, Norfolk

Come and join us for a very special community Harvest Festival, celebrating what we grow, make, create and share.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of Rocklands St Peter’s Church, the weekend brings together traditional crafts, heritage skills, local creativity, harvest produce, music, demonstrations, food and community activities — with something for all ages.

The festival is also raising funds towards the restoration of the church and its historic thatched roof.

🌾 WHAT'S HAPPENING?

🌱 Harvest Festival Community Show

Come and see our traditional community show celebrating:

Produce • Flowers • Baking • Art • Heritage Crafts • Children's Creations

Entries have been made by local people, families and children, with awards for both adult and under-16 entrants.

Our harvest produce will be auctioned and shared, with remaining produce donated to the Church Food Bank.

🌾 The Scarecrow Trail

From Saturday 19th September, scarecrows will appear around Rocklands as part of our village trail.

Scarecrows are welcome from Rocklands, neighbouring villages and further afield.

During the Festival weekend, the scarecrows will come together at the church for a special exhibition in the meadow.

Follow the trail, discover the characters and vote for your favourite. Public voting will continue throughout the Festival weekend before the People's Choice Award is announced.

On Sunday, the scarecrows will be auctioned, with proceeds supporting the restoration of the church thatch.

🧶 Heritage Crafts & Traditional Skills

Explore traditional skills and crafts and have a go yourself.

Our Heritage Craft activities include natural materials, wool and traditional techniques, with opportunities to learn, make and experiment.

Thanks to CP Creative Minds, special Heritage Craft Packs containing washed and carded fleece and other natural materials are being made available for people to explore traditional skills and create something of their own.

🏰 Medieval Encampment & Demonstrations

We are delighted to welcome the Norwich and Norfolk Medieval Association, who will be joining us with their medieval tents and traditional demonstrations.

Step back in time and discover some of the skills, crafts and everyday practices of the medieval period.

🌾 TRADITIONAL PLOUGHING DAY- SUNDAY 27TH

An opportunity to see traditional methods of working the land brought back to life and to experience something of the agricultural world of previous generations.

🌻 A Festival for Everyone

Come along to enjoy the church, churchyard and meadow, meet members of the community, discover traditional skills, admire the creativity on display and share in the spirit of harvest.

You don't have to be a gardener, artist or craftsperson to take part.

Come and look.

Come and learn.

Come and have a go.

Come and share the harvest.

💚 SUPPORTING ROCKLANDS ST PETER'S CHURCH

The Harvest Festival is being organised to help raise funds towards the restoration of Rocklands St Peter's Church and its thatched roof.

By coming along, taking part, entering the show, making a scarecrow, buying something at the auction or simply sharing the weekend with us, you are helping to support this important part of our local heritage.

We look forward to welcoming you.
