Join our Startup Connect Christmas Party! Meet like-minded students and graduates, share ideas, make connections and celebrate together.

Got a side hustle? Thinking about freelancing? Building a business or social enterprise? Or simply curious about entrepreneurship? Come and join us!

For our final Startup Connect of the year, we’re swapping the usual networking session for Christmas party vibes - a relaxed celebration of UEA’s community of student and graduate entrepreneurs, freelancers, founders and people with ideas.

Expect music, drinks, food, laughter and good company - with plenty of opportunities to meet new people, swap ideas and make useful connections along the way.

🥘 Bring a dish to share!

We’d love everyone to bring along some food for the table - perhaps something you love, something festive, or a dish that represents you, your family or where you’re from. Together, we’ll create our own Student Enterprise Christmas feast!

Everyone is welcome

You don’t need to have a business. You don't need a polished idea. And you definitely don't need an elevator pitch!

Whether you’re:

💡 exploring a business idea

🚀 already running a startup

💻 freelancing or self-employed

💷 developing a side hustle

🌍 building a social enterprise

🤔 or just wondering whether entrepreneurship might be for you…

Come along and meet your people.

Starting something of your own can sometimes feel lonely. Startup Connect is about changing that. It brings together students and graduates who can support, encourage, challenge and collaborate with each other - and hopefully have some fun while doing it.

🎉 What can I expect?

This Christmas edition will be much more party than workshop. There’s no formal networking and no pressure to pitch your idea.

Instead, you can:

Meet other students and graduates doing interesting things

Make friends and build your network

Share ideas, experiences and challenges

Find potential collaborators

Get fresh perspectives on something you're working on

Celebrate what you've achieved this year

Eat, drink, listen to music and enjoy yourself!

Most importantly, we want you to leave feeling more connected, more confident and inspired for whatever you want to create next.

🎄 Come for the party. Stay for the people, ideas and possibilities.
