About This Event

The 'Thinking through Tech: How can VCSEs use AI safely & effectively?' event is free to attend and will take place at the Aviva in Norwich on 2026-09-11. The event is a talk where participants can learn about using AI safely and effectively.

Join us in person to find out more about choosing the right AI tools, safe adoption & building confidence using AI with practical examples.

Unsure where to start when using AI in your VCSE organisation?

Dubious about the benefits to a not-for-profit organisation?

Lacking confidence on choosing the right tools?

Wanting to adopt AI in safe and responsible ways?

This in person workshop, led by digital experts at Aviva, will explore the opportunities and challenges presented by AI technology for Norfolk VCSEs. Whatever your organisation’s current knowledge and position on AI use, this session is designed to help you navigate the options and feel better-equipped to make decisions about AI adoption in your workplace.

Last year, we asked our Norfolk VCSE networks about their use of, attitudes to, and support needs around AI. This workshop has kindly been developed with Aviva in response to the common themes and areas respondents highlighted as being of greatest interest and value.

Choosing AI tools, with an overview of common platforms; strengths and limitations; and cost

GDPR and data protection considerations

Managing risk, ethics, sustainability and transparency

Developing simple AI policies

Real-world examples and demonstrations

Lessons learned and common pitfalls

There will also be time for discussion around the challenges you and your organisations are facing; any opportunities you have identified; and sharing your concerns and knowledge.
