Join a small group of local start-ups and talk through your ideas, challenges and plans with four experienced Beeston business owners.
Starting a business is exciting. But it’s also full of questions like: How do you convert customers? What level should you charge at? Should you be a sole-trader or a limited company? All while trying to deliver a great service or product
Many people starting a business are working these things out as they go – often on their own.
The Beeston Network – Business Start-Up Clinic offers a place to step out of that isolation and talk things through with people who have already been there.
Hosted by experienced Beeston Network members and local business owners, the clinic provides practical insight, constructive challenge and a supportive environment for people building a business.
No lectures. No complicated theory. Just honest conversations and practical experience.
The clinic is designed for:
People preparing to start a business
Businesses in their first 18 months
Freelancers or solopreneurs developing their offer
Anyone looking for a sounding board for ideas or challenges
No business experience is required. Just bring your questions, your ideas, or the challenge you’re currently wrestling with.
How it works
Each session runs as a two-hour open forum where a small group of participants explore ideas and challenges with experienced business owners.
Maximum 10 participants
Informal round-table discussion
Hosted by experienced Beeston Network members and local founders
Chatham House rules to create a safe space for open discussion
Participants are encouraged to attend multiple sessions as their business develops.
Running a business is a journey – and sometimes the most valuable thing is having people to think things through with.
Sessions will explore topics that are central to building a sustainable business:
Financial Operations – Pricing models, profit and loss, tax considerations, financial planning and managing costs.
Business Strategy – How to ensure your business stays competitive and relevant as markets evolve.
Marketing Plan – Understanding your audience, how customers make decisions, and how to reach them.
Vision & Positioning – Clarifying your purpose and communicating your value and brand through a consistent customer experience.
Digital First – Using technology to improve processes, productivity and scalability.
💷 £10 – Includes a drink. (Proceeds go to covering Yellow Wood staff)
Beeston has a strong and growing community of business owners. The Business Start-Up Clinic is designed to share that experience with people at the beginning of their journey – helping new businesses develop stronger foundations, build connections, and grow within the local community.
