About When You Wish Upon a Star:

When You Wish Upon a Star (https://www.instagram.com/whenyouwishuk/?hl=en) is a UK charity based in our own city of Nottingham, dedicated to bringing magical moments to children aged 4-16 who are living with life‑threatening or terminal illnesses. Their mission is simple: to grant unforgettable Wishes that give children and their families hope, joy, and precious memories during incredibly difficult times.

Since 1990, the charity has granted over 19,000 Wishes across the UK, ranging from meeting favourite celebrities like Mr Beast or David Beckham, to superheroes or becoming a princess or soldier for the day, enjoying special days out, or even travelling to places like Disney World. These Wishes offer families time away from hospitals, treatments, and uncertainty – creating moments of comfort and smiles when they’re needed most.

At When You Wish Upon a Star, theyre work isn’t possible without supporters. Whether you choose to fundraise through events, challenges, or volunteer your time to support them, every contribution makes a real difference. If you’d like to get involved and help grant more wishes, please contact the Fundraising team at fundraising@whenyouwish.org.uk.

Together, we can bring moments of joy when they’re needed most.

See you on the 20th of November for the Gala! ✨
