About This Event

Black Iris Bottleshop & Taproom hosts a custom Blood on the Clocktower mystery themed around Talk Like a Pirate Week on 18 September from 17:00. Admission is set at £9.38.

Ahoy! Celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Week with a custom Blood on the Clocktower mystery at Black Iris Brewery.

Shiver me timbers... there's a mutiny brewing at Black Iris Brewery!

To celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Week, we are docking at the Black Iris Brewery Taproom on Friday, 18th September for a very special nautical edition of Blood on the Clocktower!

Featuring a custom homebrew script, High Seas of Mutiny, this is part murder mystery, part pirate drama, and 100% social fun. Whether you’re an old hand at social deduction or a landlubber who has never played a game in your life, grab a fresh craft pint and join the crew!

Why This Event is Perfect For Newcomers & Solo Players:

No Player Elimination (You Stay In The Game!): Tired of games where you get knocked out early and have to sit on your phone? In Clocktower, even if you are forced to walk the plank, you stay in the game! As a ghost sailor, you keep chatting, sharing clues, and even get a crucial final vote that can decide who wins.

Zero Homework Required: You don’t need to read a rulebook or memorize complex stats. Your secret pirate role is printed right on a card in front of you, and our expert Storyteller guides the room through every single step.

The Ultimate Icebreaker: Coming by yourself? Most of our players do! You’ll walk in solo and leave with an entire crew of new friends (who you just lied to for two hours).

Craft Beers & Pirate Vibes: Pair your nautical scheming with Black Iris’s incredible, locally brewed craft beers, fresh taps, and relaxed taproom atmosphere.

The Quest: High Seas of Mutiny

You and your fellow crewmates are stranded on a ship navigating dangerous waters. But there's a catch: a secret faction of mutineers and a demonic sea captain are lurking among you, plotting to take the ship down.

By day, gather in the taproom to share clues, debate suspicions, and vote on who to throw overboard. By night, pull your shipmates aside into cozy corners for hushed, private whispers to figure out who is telling the truth, and who is playing you for a fool.
