In this 4-week beginner-friendly sewing course, we will teach you how to confidently use a sewing machine from scratch — even if you have absolutely no experience.
Our classes run every Wednesday for 2 hours per session, and by the end of the course, you’ll understand your sewing machine properly and feel confident using it independently.
You’ll learn:
✔️ How to thread a sewing machine correctly
✔️ The different parts of the sewing machine and what they do
✔️ Troubleshooting common sewing machine problems
✔️ How to wind and change your bobbin
✔️ How to change sewing machine needles properly
✔️ Which needles work best for different fabrics
✔️ How to adjust your machine settings for professional-looking stitches
✔️ Straight stitching, curves, corners, pivoting, and circular stitching
✔️ Seam finishing techniques
✔️ How to sew buttonholes and attach buttons
✔️ Zip installation techniques, including regular zips and Y-tooth zips
✔️ Basic cutting, stencilling, and project construction
Plus, you’ll complete TWO practical take-home sewing projects:
🪑 A cushion cover or chair bag
👜 A tote bag
