Come and join us at Attenborough Studio for a fun, hands-on cooking and food-learning session designed to get children curious and excited about real food.

Little Chefs Educational Kitchen is about much more than following a recipe.

Each month we’ll explore different seasonal ingredients, discover where our food comes from and help children develop practical kitchen skills and confidence.

🥕 Explore real ingredients

Children can see, touch, smell, taste and cook with a colourful variety of foods.

👩‍🍳 Learn practical skills

We’ll weigh, measure, mix, prepare and cook together, with activities adapted appropriately for our Little Chefs.

🌈 Discover new foods

Trying something you’ve helped to make is much more exciting! We’ll gently encourage children to explore different tastes, textures, fruits and vegetables.

🌱 Learn about healthy choices

Simple conversations about hydration, colourful plants, protein, seasonal ingredients and making more food ourselves.

💚 Build confidence

Cooking gives children an enormous sense of achievement – and they’re learning skills they can take home and use with their families.

What happens at Little Chefs?

We’ll cook together, learn together and – most importantly – eat what we’ve made!

Recipes and activities will change with the seasons, so there will always be something new to discover.

Thermomix will be part of our kitchen, helping children see how fresh ingredients can be transformed into delicious homemade food.

Parents & carers

Parents/carers must remain with their children throughout the session.

You’re not just there to watch – we’d love you to enjoy the experience with them. Take the ideas home, recreate the recipes and continue the conversation around food.
