The Nottingham Folklore Society meets every month for our Monthly Moot. This a fun social for those interested in folklore.

Monthly Moot - November

Ay up! Join us for our Monthly Moot!

We're back at The King Billy for our next Monthly Moot which will take place on Thursday 12th November from 7pm. Please arrive from 6:45pm.

Joining us this month will be Mythagic, presenting The 12 Riddles as related by Bragi the Bard. 12 Riddles will be set - how well do you recognise the myths, legends and customs of the land? A pint for the person who gets the most!

There will also be a singalong with The Luddite Folk Session and we'll be looking ahead at upcoming calendar customs both locally and nationally.

From 9pm onwards, we will be heading downstairs for a drink and to watch the Irish Traditional Folk session.

What are our Monthly Moot's like?

Our monthly meetings have the aim of bringing local people that are interested in folklore together and therefore, these are fun socials where you can meet new people and hear about upcoming local customs and events.

We will also be inviting people to talk at these meetings, whether that's reading your favourite folk tale, a show and tell or a talk about a particular folky subject!
