Join us for a relaxed autumn photowalk at Attenborough Nature Reserve – a chance to make photographs, walk, chat and enjoy the season.

For our October Sisterhood Social, we’re heading outdoors for an autumn photowalk around Attenborough Nature Reserve.

We’ll meet at the café at 11am before setting off together for a relaxed walk around the reserve, taking time to make photographs, chat and enjoy the landscape.

There’s no pressure to make anything in particular. Bring whatever you like to photograph with and come along whether you’re an experienced photographer or simply enjoy taking pictures.

We haven’t finalised our route yet and will send further details to everyone attending closer to the date.

What to bring

Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking outdoors. October weather can be unpredictable, so you may also want to bring a waterproof jacket if rain is forecast. We’ll keep an eye on the weather and send an update to participants nearer the time.

Meeting point

We’ll meet at the café at Attenborough Nature Reserve at 11am.

Accessibility

Attenborough Nature Reserve has disabled parking and a number of accessible trails suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. As our exact walking route is still to be confirmed, we’ll share more detailed route information with participants ahead of the event.

The reserve car park is open from 8am until dusk. Current parking charges are:

Free for up to 30 minutes

£3 for up to 2 hours

£4 for up to 4 hours

£5 all day

The Sisterhood Collective is a women-centred photography community within Sequence: Nottingham Centre for Photography and Social Engagement. We create supportive and welcoming opportunities for women interested in photography to meet, make work, share ideas and develop their practice.

Our monthly socials are free and open to all women, whatever your level of photographic experience. You don’t need to be a professional photographer (or even think of yourself as a photographer) to come along!
