OCTOBER'S SESSION: ADHD AWARENESS AT WORK AND HOW TO BE INCLUSIVE

October is ADHD Awareness Month, so we're starting where most organisations are stuck. You've probably had the conversation already. Someone's struggling, someone's been diagnosed, someone's asked for an adjustment and nobody's quite sure what happens next.

This session gives you the answers, and then puts them to work.

HR leads, heads of function, L&D professionals, line managers and business owners. Anyone responsible for how people are treated at work, and anyone who's currently guessing.

Seating is at round tables of eight. You'll be working with the people around you rather than sitting in rows, and our team is in the room throughout to make sure everyone has a good experience.

YOUR HOSTS

People Insights Exchange is run by Beth Thomas and Georgia Hodkinson.

Beth is a neurodiversity specialist, formally accredited with the CPD Standards Office as a CPD trainer and speaker, a Certified ADHD Life Coach and a professional keynote speaker. She has worked in this space since 2019, is a Professional Member of the PSA UK & Ireland and an ambassador for ADHD UK.

Georgia is an Organisational Psychologist specialising in fatigue and human factors. She helps organisations with shift workers identify and reduce the conditions that contribute to incidents and absence. She holds a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Occupational Psychology and is working towards Chartered status with the BPS.

CPD CERTIFICATES

The 30-minute keynote is accredited through the CPD Standards Office. If you'd like a formal digital certificate for your record, follow the instructions in your ticket confirmation. This covers the administration of issuing and recording it. If you don't need one, you don't pay for one.

ACCESSIBILITY

Neuroinclusion and accessibility are how we build these sessions, not something we bolt on afterwards. As standard, there will be:

- Step-free access, with accessible exits at the front and rear of the hall

- Induction hearing loop in the hall

- Subtitles on screens

- Colour-coded lanyards so you can signal whether you're up for chatting or would rather focus on the learning

- Round-table seating rather than rows, with room to move around the space

- Free parking on site, with accessible bays nearest the entrance

If you have a barrier to standard evacuation, or anything else we should know to keep you safe and comfortable, tell us at checkout and we'll agree a plan with you before the day.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

This session will be professionally photographed and filmed. Filming focuses on the presenters and the stage, not on attendees doing workshop activity, and footage will be used for future learning resources and to promote the event.
